They are perfectly fine for mucking out stalls and bathing horses. They fit nicely in western stirrups. They are black with white polka dot all over them and I wear them year round. If you don't like what you see in the stores and Dover is charging too much, you could try - they have a big selection of all sorts of Wellie-type boots that are probably better made than Wal-Mart's stuff, and some appear to be taller than the rain boots sold in stores. I like real Wellies myself...they are extremely well made and comfortable, and I don't have to worry about them breaking or having teeny holes in them that will let water seep in. They last forever...I figure it's easier to invest in them than it is to get several pairs of a lesser brand over the years.
