Muck Boots for Hunting: Stealth Mode

Muck Boots has the perfect solution for hunting gear.  Are you an avid hunter?  Know all about how to disguise yourself, conceal yourself, and stalk your prey successfully?  Then you are sure to know the importance of masking your human scent so that you can move about the woods leaving less of a trace for your animal targets to pick up on.

Muck Boots has developed the perfect hunting boot, one that is specially designed to mask your scent and improve your concealment while you are hunting.  Not only is it important to remain upwind of your prey, but keeping the scents you bring with you to a minimum is essential.

The Woody Elite Stealth Premium Hunting Boot from is designed for the most serious of sport hunters.  With the scent-masking Incentible design, the Woody Elite lets you be on top of the hunting game.  Most animals, especially deer, have an extremely well-developed sense of smell that works as their natural defense against predators.  They are also naturally very cautious.  If they so much as suspect there is danger in the area, they will defend themselves and other deer by stomping their feet and making a loud noise.  The foot stomping releases a strong scent from the deer, alerting other deer to avoid the dangerous area.  This seriously impedes the hunting process.

Wearing the special Woody Elite Muck Boots designed for hunting not only conceals your scent while tracking, but they are 100% waterproof.  The solid rubber construction is lightweight and keeps moisture and wetness completely out.  The Woody Elite boots are extremely comfortable, too, for those long, cold hunting excursions.  Don’t worry about leaving the boots in your closet or garage, either, there’s a special antimicrobial treatment that prevents odor causing bacteria from growing.

The Woody Elite Muck Boots help you get through the long hunting days comfortably, too.  There is a molded midsole in the boot, with a contoured footbed to keep your feet feeling fine, even if you are doing significant amounts of walking.  And, there’s no need to worry about your feet going numb after those seemingly endless hours in your tree stand, these Muck Boots have a comfort range that protects you from the cold, even when the temps sink well below zero.

Muck Boots has definitely hit the bullseye with the Woody Elite Stealth Premium Hunting Boots.  Any avid sportsman will tell you that the gear is critical to surviving and enjoying the rugged conditions that sport hunters are faced with.  These durable, comfortable, and affordable boots let you hunt as aggressively as you like.  They can’t help you with learning how to use a grunt call, doe bleat, or tending call at the right time, you’re on your own for those lessons.  But they will help keep you from being sniffed out too soon.  Check out the wide selection of Muck Boots that are available, not only for hunting, but there is definitely something for anyone and any outdoor activity you can think of.

Muck Boots in the Snow Fort

My kids love to play outside in the winter, especially when there is ten feet of snow.  But, I don’t know of any mother that has had an easy time finding quality winter boots for their kids.  When your kids like to play outdoors in the snow and mud like mine do, keeping them warm and dry can be nearly impossible!  Usually by the time my kids wander back inside, their little feet are frozen solid.  But this doesn’t happen anymore, not since they started wearing Muck Boots.

Now, the kids can go outside for long periods of time and really get down to business building their snow forts.  Nothing can be more fun than burrowing a big hole in the side of a backyard snowbank and hiding inside.  I’ve never been inside a real igloo, but if they make the fort big enough for me then I can’t resist climbing inside to check it out!  Digging a hole in a snowbank takes time, though, and staying warm long enough to get the job has always been a challenge.  Muck Boots are thermal insulated to keep those little toes toasty for as long as it takes to finish the task.

Muck Boots actually have a completely solid rubber construction, making them 100% waterproof.  Though I have heard this claim before about other boots I have bought for my children, I have never found it to be true before.  I didn’t think this was even possible with a kids boot, but Muck Boots really solves the problem of getting a waterproof boot.  And, when my kids take off their Muck Boots (yes, they can get this kind off all by themselves), their feet are still warm and toasty inside—their feet are definitely the last thing to get cold now!  The stretch-fit topline binding fits snugly to the calf, keeping snow from piling inside, yet allowing complete freedom of movement during any igloo building, climbing, or running that might happen.

One of the great things about the Muck Boots for kids is that they not only work great in the cold and snowy conditions, but when spring arrives and all that beautiful snow turns the backyard into a huge mud pit, these same boots work like a charm.  They keep the mud and wet out nicely, and they are super easy to clean up, all I have to do is hose them off.  Again, that solid rubber construction makes them the perfect choice for any outdoor conditions.

I won’t go back to buying the cheap, generic rubber boots for my kids ever again.  I have finally found some boots that I can trust to keep them warm and dry when they play outside.  There are several Muck Boots kids’ styles to choose from, depending on what you need.  Kids should be playing outside more, anyway, and I know that my kids are playing outside this winter more than ever, now that they stay warm and dry longer.  Muck Boots has made this possible!

Loving My Muck Boots!

I am absolutely loving my Muck Boots!  It seems like finding the perfect pair of boots is like searching for the Holy Grail.  I have purchased dozens of pairs, trying to find a pair that I can really count on to be warm, 100% waterproof, well-constructed, and actually comfortable for a long day’s work.  I find that I am consistently disappointed—left with cold, wet feet and blisters.  That is, until I just purchased my first pair of .  I don’t think I’ll ever go back now.

As a year-round outdoor construction worker, if I want to make money then I have to be willing and able to work in all sorts of weather conditions.  Winters around here are very long, and they bring a wide variety of weather—some days are well below freezing with intolerable temperatures and icy surfaces, other days bring wet, slushy conditions.  I have to work no matter what the weatherman says.  Having a pair of boots that I can count on to perform well in any situation makes a huge difference in my ability to do my job successfully.

I was surprised to discover that a pair of durable work boots could actually be really comfortable.  I bought myself a pair of Arctic Sport Extreme Conditions Sport Boots and now I have absolutely no problem making it through a long work day in the cold or wet weather.  These boots are incredibly durable, and I work in some pretty rugged conditions outdoors.  Muck Boots are definitely built to last, with a tough outsole that provides excellent protection and stability, and a molded midsole and contoured footbed that keeps my feet comfortably cushioned for the whole day.  No worries about those cold days, either, since these Muck Boots are thermal insulated and designed to endure temps as low as forty degrees below zero!

The stretch-fit upper fits snug to my calves, keeping the warmth in and the cold out, yet allowing me incredible freedom of movement—I hardly know I am wearing boots!  Whether I am climbing a ladder or carrying heavy building materials, I know my footing is safe and secure when I am wearing my Muck Boots.  And, an extra toe bumper helps out when my cold hands drop something heavy!  If only Muck Boots made gloves, too….

I’ve been through more than my fair share of cheap, generic rubber boots that just don’t hold up as well or keep me as warm and comfortable as my Muck Boots.  Amazingly enough, these boots don’t look at all like you’d expect for such a “utility” boot.  They are actually pretty sleek and stylish for a durable work boot, and I am seriously thinking about getting myself another pair for everyday wear.  There are definitely plenty of styles to choose from, and there are some that would definitely pass for a pair of great shoes—the secret is how durable and comfortable they actually are for any conditions.  And, I may have just started a new trend, since the guys on my crew are all looking to get themselves some Muck Boots, after seeing how much of a difference mine have made!

Muck Boots and the Weather

Not too long ago I accompanied a friend to visit her horse on another friend’s property. I haven’t seen a horse up close in quite a while so I thought it would be a neat adventure. This was towards the end of March and anybody that lives in the North can attest to the ground and soil conditions during this time of year. They are very sloppy. I went with my regular work boots thinking I’d be fine. Let me tell you, my boots would have been trashed. My friend let me borrow a pair of , since she had several pair. The only problem was they were something around a women’s size eight? I wear a men’s eleven in a shoe. So I had to put as much of my foot into the boot as possible.

Walking to the stable was a bit of a hike, and I felt like I was trying to walk with three inch heels on. Not accustomed to walking in heels, naturally I was finding it hard to keep my balance. Once I arrived at the stable I was fine, I could lean, stand still, sit, anything that didn’t require me prancing around. Once my appetite for horses wore off, after about 45 minutes, I was ready to leave. I was cold and not very comfortable. The only thing that wasn’t cold on me was my feet. The thick rubber found on these boots actually kept my feet warm. Not to mention 100% completely dry.

As we went back to the garage and took the boots off, I couldn’t help taking a good look at them, even though they didn’t fit me whatsoever. I was impressed that they were able to take the abuse of 220 pounds, not fitting right, and the extreme mud, snow, and slop that was on the ground. My work boots would have been ruined. From my personal story, I can tell you that protecting your feet from the elements is crucial, especially in a cold, damp, muddy environment. How comforting it is to know that Muck Boots exist and how well they are made. Hundreds of years ago people had a tough time. It’s too bad the company, the methods, and these boots didn’t exist for them. I’m sure they would’ve been very grateful, especially since most everything was done outdoors and in the land.
